COVID-19 Crisis

We are all facing challenges that none of us have experienced in our lifetimes. As Public Assets follows the developments of the global pandemic and resulting economic downturn, we will be doing our best to add context and help you understand what’s happening in Vermont on tax, budget, and economic issues.

Public Assets will be tracking the data, sorting fact from rumor, and thinking about the implications for everyday Vermonters, especially our most vulnerable. We will also be thinking about state policy needs as we follow federal and state efforts to protect Vermonters from the health and economic impacts of this crisis.

As part of our efforts, please see Worker protections are strained by the COVID-19 crisis, which identifies populations that are vulnerable during this time.

We are grateful that Vermonters are taking this threat seriously and that Governor Scott and our Legislature are providing rational, compassionate leadership.

Like many Vermonters, we are now working from home. The best way to reach us is by email, although we are picking up voicemail messages left at the office. As always, feel free to contact us with your thoughts and questions.
